Sounds like a blast I would love to take the Z to closed coarse, with a instructor.

I just had dinner with the owner of Spring Mountain tonight. He invited me to do the 3 day driving school, like the one you are attending, in Nov. I'm looking forward on reading your experience with his school.

He also told me that the school is getting 2 new C6 for instruction use. It is scheduled to arrive in two weeks.

Have fun

Mike you know of plenty places to take the Z to......

If you don't know give me a call and I will hook you up with places to go.

It's been a while since I left Calif. but I know of all the places to go.

I'm going there in a few weeks. 2-day advanced class. It used to be that both classes were 3 days. I have been there before when the advanced class was 3 days - I don't know why they changed it.

Blasting around the track at high speed is the most fun you can have in a car (with clothes on) and the Z is a great car for it. Whether you do driving schools, AutoX, DE days, SCCA, etc. - it brings a major smile to your mug.

Bob,

Have a blast out there. Just a couple of words of advice. One, don't take any detours if you see a sign that says "This way to the Chicken Ranch" and second, be careful not to run over any "cats."

The 2 day weekend advance classes are thought in a physics-defying Radical cars. www.radicalwest.com. I've never driven one but from what everybody I spoke to was telling me, it is an amazing car. The 200 hp base car does 0-60 in 3.6 and pulls 2.5Gs around the corner. Their top of the line car produces close to 500 hp. Imagine the 500hp on a car that weighs less than 1400lbs. I'm sure you will have fun with these cars. Enjoy.

There are now 2 different advanced classes. There is the 2 day Corvette Level 2 that is once a month on Thursday and Friday, and now the brand new Radical School. I'd love to try the Radical during one of those classes, it seems to be an amazing car and the Spring Mtn instructors, Dave, Victor and grumpy Dave are loving the cars.

They changed to the 2 day version of the Level 2, because there were too many requests for the Level 1 class. They run the Level 1 class every Mon-Tues-Wed and the Level 2 Corvette Class once a month on Thurs-Fri.

There will be a Spring Mtn Corvette Only track days Feb 26-27, 2005 complete with BBQ. Come join us for an exciting weekend.

Thanks for the clarification. I've seen pics & read about the Radicals, they sound awesome. I just might have to give them a try.
