Okay people. It is time to start getting ready to get the 2006 Z06.
This means you have to start paying down that loan FASTER than expected. My payment is $541. I have been paying $741, in 16 months, when the C6 Z06 is launched, I should have enough equity to be able to TRADE UP, and keep the same payment.
Thought I would throw that out there NOW since we have 16 months to go.
At 3.9% interest on the current loan balance (Wish I waited for 2004 and 0%) I don't see any advantage to aggressively paying down the loan to increase equity if depreciation will offset some of the equity increase.
Besides, living in a state where the sales tax is 8%+, if I trade in, even on an inflated trade value, I'm adding 8% to the value of the trade vs a private sale of my current ride. By reducing the taxable portion of the new sales price, I am reducing the amount I rollover finance to the new C6 Z06 note.
I'll do the math in 2006 (Or 2007) again, but for now it's payments as usual.
i will be waiting for the 07 z06. i kie them to get the bugs out first.

Mine will be paid for in '06 and I'll wait at least until '07 for a new Z. I'm not planning on trading this one in when the new one's come out.

I always wait to find a preowned low mileage car with about 5,000 miles, or a dealer demo. That's how I got my 02 Z in September of 02 and saved $10,000.
In a big market like south florida, very low milage, like new cars are easy to find.
