Too much time on my hands, but it makes for some interesting #s...
Okay as we all know the Enzo is one of the most desireable and expensive cars on the market today. Did you ever think about what it costs to actually OWN an enzo? THink abou this:
MSRP: $643,300 LUXURY TAXES: 18,090 (click link for detail)
SALES TAX: $46,617 (this is at 7.25%)
TOTAL: $708,007 (Not including your registration tags and all of the other goodies you will be hit with)
Now... Lets say you want to do a loan on the car (As many people here do with thier cars) on a 5 year note. Luckily for you FMC (Ferrari motor Credit... NOT!! ) Has taken a cue from GM and offers 0% financing as an incentive or $1000 cash back (Oh I am just killing myself here ) to the buyer.
On a 60 month note, your payments would be an astounding $11,800.12. How does one afford a car like this and where do I sign up???

Waiting... it's GREAT when its OVER!!
I understand that dealers are selling these for more than a million and even at that price there is a waiting list.
Wouldn't it be nice to have that kind of cash to just plunk down on one of those. Oh well, I feel fortunate to be able to own a Z. I should count my blessings.

Last summer the local TV news showed two Detroit area buyers picking up their Enzo's. A yellow one went to Red Wing player Sergei Fedorov, and a red one went to the owner of Detroit's Motor City Casino. Goes to show you how much money goes into the casino....NOT the customers.
The plate on Fedorov's car, BRKAWAY.

Thats nothing! New brakes and rotors will run you $30k (no joke, read it in R&T), and the owner who reported this got 2500 track and street miles on the origional set.

But those numbers are nuts.
Definitely not! It just put's it into perspective how much money you would have to have foating about to be able to say "Hmmmm... I think I would like to buy an Enzo today...."
