I'm in the process of dumping the lease on my X5 (can't stand worrying about having the Xenon/HID/Adaptive headlights stolen for a 2nd time) and I'm leaning towards a 2006 Trailblazer LT and have a couple of questions:
1) Can someone recommend a message board like this one that deals with TB's?
2) Does anyone have an '06, or even an '05, TB and care to pass on their feelings about it? anything to watch out for?

Thanks in advance....
Had an 05 as a rental in New Hampshire. I was impressed with the ride and fuel mileage. It was four wheel drive and we ran most of the time in the White Mountain area. No flat land trip here. If we weren't going up a large hill we were going down one. When we picked it up at the air port I zeroed out the odo and off we went. The rental company didn't top off the tank so the first tank was our worst. It was still over 21 MPG with the two tanks after were above that. It was equiped with the six. Would have liked to try one with the 5.3. All in all a very good truck.

My wife has an 03 Trailblazer EXT 4x4 with the 5.3L V-8. Not sure how much they have changed since 03.
Overall, we are very happy with the truck. Fuel mileage for my wife is about 16-17 mpg around town, and about 20 mpg highway. We bought it for the ability to seat seven with some storage, tow over 7,000# (to tow the Vette if required), but be a little more maneuverable than a Suburban (which we also looked at and drove). I enjoy driving the truck around town. Its not a sports car, but it is very comfortable for me to drive.
A freezing rain storm left about 3" of ice/snow on the roads in Memphis last winter, and her truck was wonderful in the snow in AWD mode.
My few nits with the truck are that the brake feel is a little mushy for my taste, though it does stop fine, and the rearward visibility while backing is a little poor. It has been in the shop a few times for electric gremlins associated with engine management and the mirrors, but overall reliability has been fine from our perspective (~35k miles at this point).
We bought a 05 TrailBlazer in Aug. trading in a 03. Hve had no problems in 6200 miles, but when she gets thirsty it takes a big drink, 25 gallons.Has the DVD system in the back and if you have kids and go anywhere, skip the sun roof and get it. Best baby sitter an option can offer. It is a softer ride compared to the 03 or 98 Blazer I had, but rides well never the less. Thought about the V-8 but don't pull anything, and the extra 2 cylinders don't kick in unless under load, so your still basically cruising around with a six anyway. Fit and finish, especially fit are better than my previous 3 also. Give one a test whirl, think you'll like it.
My sister in law has an 03 and has had no problems at all. She and my brother both drive it summer and winter, and have only had good things to say about it. Good gas mileage too.
Thanks for help.... I've got an '06 LT with the inline 6, LT package #1 and #2, bordeaux red, black leather, no sunroof, no nav, on hold at the local stealer until the lease assumption on my '04 X5 is completed (hopefully next week). Then I get to go haggle over the price
yup, they're the same... the confusing thing is that the Envoy costs more than the TB. I've been unable to find any info on exactly what the differences are that would result in the higher price for the envoy though, oh well, no biggy.
