When I bought NoMercy the car a couple years ago, I wired Bill a bunch of money before getting the car (tens of thousands). I did this because I have an inherent desire to trust people. I think that all people are as trustworthy as I'd like to think I am.
I have no idea if any of this is true (it sure doesn't sound good) but it just makes you think....one really needs to be careful of everyone nowadays. I understand now why some people are so leary of making deals with seemingly "honest" people".
I'm sure Bill is watching the forums. Let's hope there is some explanation for all of this.
Something just doesn't sound right here. I am with Joe. I want to hear Bill's side before I make my decision. Could this simply be someone trying to ruin Bill's reputation over an investment that did not gain as much as they thought.

If for some reason it is true I wonder if that white Z06 would get taken away from the current owner if it was found to be purchased with funds obtained by fraud?

Mike Z06 ;I'm with you either way truth or fiction you must always keep in mind this is the internet; anything goes anything can be said, represented misrepresented, colored or pale its cyber space, can't see it touch it smell it but by God its there.
Gut feeling says this is true. I never understood how he lived such a lavish lifestyle without really any identifiable means of support.
You know what they say -- how do you make a small fortune? Start off with a large one.
Joe - I think the original NoMercy is safe. However, it turns out all his new toys were financed, and he was well overdue on payments -- so he wouldn't have been able to sell them, as he didn't own them. Oddly enough I was just speaking to a lawyer about this case.

I know SEVERAL people who make 1-2mm a year and MOST people have no idea what they do for a living. This day in time a trader/broker does not have to put on his Zegna suit and go to some office on Wall Street to make his fortune. Trust me more and more guys are working from home. All you need is a laptop and a phone (maybe two) and you are good to go. One of my biggest commision days was sitting at home in my boxers with a sick kid on the couch 10 feet from me.
I'm not jumping out and saying that he is NOT guilty but I'm sure not gonna jump out and say that he IS guilty. Being in the investment business I have seen strange things people will do after THEY make a bad investment choice. Brokers for the most part are just to make the trade. Yes we do provide info and our point of view but the CUSTOMER makes the call almost always. Most will put all the blame on someone other than themselves. Just remember if it sounds too good to be true then most of the time it is !
