Two Zs Side-by-Side in Full Sprint . . . A Beautiful Sight

Thought you guys might enjoy these. They were taken at Atco Raceway about three weeks ago. The first one is at about the 330 mark. There's no avoiding the waterbox at Atco, so those of us braving it on the F1s have a little difficulty out of the hole. I think by this point, I'd just about started to get traction. I'm in the near lane in the silver bullet.

This is probably just before the 1/8 mark. A hair more breathing room. There's just something about the sight of two Zs in graceful flight together down the track.

And for your amusement, me vs a turbo Sentra. Do people really put turbos on Sentras?

A good weekend to all!

David

Very nice David!

We here on Farmer Mountain are particularly proud of the way in which you spanked the Turbo Sentra! The Society for Preservation of the Corvette Way of Life, Farmer Mountain Chapter, has voted and we, unanymously ... er ... perhaps, anonymously, hereby present you with our highest accolade.

The Royal and most esteemed order of the Fuzzy Dice... They are battery powered and flash!

Dan:

I, I, I really don't know what to say. I'm getting all . I will hang these from my rearview with great pride, my friend, great pride. You know, I believe the Sentra actually had these very dice hanging from his mirror. In fact, it was this mod, he said, that would be the biggest factor in him beating me. Guess he forgot to arm them, because the only flash he saw was me.

Thanks, bud. You're too kind.

What GM said, Steve. Don't worry, dude, this was the only race the yellow one lost that day.

Have a good day, guys.

On the F1s, since modding, I'm having trouble doing much better than low 12s with trap speeds ranging from 116-118.5. The car is VERY strong, spinning/wheel hopping right through the 2-3 shift on most track surfaces. I have little doubt on DRs it has 11.70s in it, maybe even slightly better with an exceptional launch. If I were to powershift 3-4 (I usually speed shift), I could probably squeeze a 119 trap out of it.
