Some how I think what Porsche sells is not the yardstick.
How many Vipers Dodge is able to sell is a better measure in my mind.
At the head office facility of an oil field service company I work for here in Houston there are 3 Corvettes. Mine, a 97 Coupe and a 1995 LT4.
By contrast there is 1 x 993, 6 x 996's and 2 x 997's of varying flavours.
For the record only
one of the guys is a "performance car enthusiast". The rest "bought a Porsche". I just don't see a $80,000 Corvette selling the way Porsches do.
It is going suffer the same fate the Ford GT has.
