window pulling outwards above 120mph

i was wondering if anyone else's z06 has this problem. Whenever I get above 110-120mph, the passenger window will suddenly pull outwards and the wind noise is terrible. It sounds like the whole window is going to suddenly let loose. I went for a ride in a friend 02 zo6 & his did it to a lesser degree.
I'm kinda scared to complain to the dealer about this when I describe that it's 120. Probably not a good idea!!!!

Mine did the same thing the only time I passed 135. It was the drivers side and I shut it down after that, little scary. Unfortunately I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it. I hope this thread grows large.

I saw a thread about this a while ago. If I remember right it is the little black thing half way up the window. You should be able to adjust it with a pair of pliers.

Is there a fix? It's quite annoying when you're doing a high speed run and your windows start leaking a shitload of air over 140.....

How? Just bend the little black tabs downwards?

Thanks!

I haven't had to do it on the Z but several Camors and older Vettes. They would pop suddenly at about 145. That was hard on the ears!! I even have made special keepers for the windows to keep them tight when doing highspeed runs.

I haven't looked at the ones on the Z as I haven't had the problem too much. I have hit 167 only once and the windows were bulging out a little.

Maybe someone that has done it will chime in. It would suck to break the existing keeper. Not sure what it is made out of but i tmay brittle.

I took a high speed ride (159mph) with some one and didn't notice the windows popping out. What I did notice was the hood lifting a good inch or so. I hope there is a easy fix for it. That would just annoy me to have to listen to that every time I hit the freeway.

Gents, I had this at 155 in my coupe, the fix was to turn the outside air off, it was excessively pressurizing the car to the point that it was easier for the windows to get sucked out against the clips. Max will recirculate inside air and avoid the problem, but who wants the air on at 155? Selecting off seems to work best for me.
