From a young age, I loved winter. I was conditioned from snow days and school closures to appreciate a cold and snowy winter. It was a chance to go out, make a few bucks shoveling sidewalks, and then go sledding down the steepest hills. What can I say, my addiction to speed started at the top of a hill.
Nowadays, I am realizing how much I have grown to hate winters. No, it’s not an age thing. Unlike our friends to the south who enjoy year round driving, those of us in Snow County have to suck it up.
I’ve even noticed that some of the attitudes here have turned cold. I can only guess they are experiencing driving withdrawals like me. It is understandable. Personally, I am freaking bored out of my mind. No autocross, no parades, and no shows. The best I could do is purchase the latest Grand Turismo. I wish it was the same but it’s not even close. As the title says: Winter sucks!!!
The good news is, the shortest day of the year has passed and we are on our way to spring. If only the warm weather would get here as fast as our cars, I wouldn't be posting my newfound distaste for winter.

We had a gorgeous snowfall right after Christmas, but after I had to shovel it I was ready for it to be gone. That's usually my attitude--one nice snowfall a year and then I say "OK, that was nice, now please go away!"

That's about where I am now too.
I don't know how people live where it snows 3-4 ft every year

Well maybe this will make you feel better, it's gorgeous 70's right now, and probably won't get that cold again. We don't get much of a winter here in Austin. I am, however, sidelined with yet another health complication as a result of having Coeliac disease. I can't really leave my house, and although my favorite twisty is calling me, I can't even pick up the phone. So, like you northerners, all I can do is look at my car in the garage. And a great game that I have played a lot is called GTR Evolution, it is a pc game from 07, that has lots of cool cars, and tracks. On the Nuremberg ring in the game, my best time in the c5r is 7.22, the Mosler was 7.11, and my best time of 7.07, came in the Gumpert Apollo. In real life, the c5z06, was the first street car to go sub 8. Now I think a Porsche has the record of 7 minutes flat, or better. The game is cheap, and a lot of fun,and has been updated several times over the years. I use a Ferrari challenge steering wheel and pedal setup, and its prob the closest ill ever get to the prancing pony.

You've gotta have some pretty large attachments to drive a Z in the snow
