I dont have a Z....but if you guys remember my post a little bit ago-I said I bought one of those $250 NCM raffle tickets for the 02 coupe and if I won I would sell it and get a Z06.
If I got the Z06...it would have to be my daily driver...I'm not sure how many of you guys daily drive yours.
Would you see any downsides for it being a daily driver???
I'm 18 and I go to college...I wouldn't take the Z to my school or other areas with a lot of kids(My parents 00 MY coupe got keyed at a movie theatre). But I would take it to work and everywhere else...I would assume I would put about 8-10,000 miles on it a year.
Drive mine everywhere I can, from going to work each day to just running up the hill to the convenient store, every moment I can be driving this monster the better...
I drive mine as much as possible, although I (personally) avoid rain/snow because it gets the car so filthy. Despite its power, it's an excellent car for any kind of use. Very well-behaved, even fairly quiet, until you put your foot in it. Highly recommended.

Ready to embrace the aging process, but I can't lift my arms.
The C-5 in general is a very comfortable driving car, Z06 included.
The Z06 does have a little bit of a stiffer ride than the coupe or conv. but still a very easy ride. If equipped with a Z-51 sep. the coupe and conv. are very similar in ride. They all have a good bit of leg room and head room. The seats in the Z06 are not quite as nice as the sport buckets in the coupe and conv. but still comfortable. I think anyone would enjoy the ride every day. Most people I believe think about resale value too much and do not enjoy their Z as much as they should. It is great on gas if you keep your foot out of it. If I spend $50,000.00 on a car because I enjoy it then that is what I would do, enjoy it.
I'm planning on driving mine every day.. But the Seattle winter is, well, WET. And my Z is, well, BLACK.
There's a long term construction project that has a main road I take covered in sand/mud. As the mud was spattering my windshield yesterday, I was thinking about how much I'm going to hate doing that to the Z..
In Seattle during Winter, we frequently get rain in the morning and sun in the afternoon. But during a really bad winter, it can rain every day for 5 months.
I park in a garage at work and at home. So the rain is going to dry on the car just about every day.
I understand and accept that the car is going to look lousy when unwashed in this weather. My greatest concern is avoiding wear and tear on the paint, and dealing with constant water spotting.
What's a reasonable care strategy for this? Wash in the rain, wax in the garage? Is Zaino still the best way to go? How often should I wax for protection?
Our EB Z should be here any day or minute, built on 9-25. It is our intention to drive the wheels off of it, not abuse it, well not much We have a 300M that will be going and an SSEi we will keep for those days of 18" of snow. Will keep the Town Car as it is good for funerals and weddings.I could not pay 50K for a car and enjoy it in the garage. Drive that puppy
My Z06 is my Daily Driver, the only down side is that it now takes longer to get home. When I drive my old truck its 20 mile each way. When I drive the Z06 its 20 miles to work but 30 miles home.
