ZARRELLA LIED ON RESUME
His brand-management strategy all but discarded by former employer General
Motors, former GM leader Ron Zarrella is now being punished for lying on his
resume. Current and former employer Bausch & Lomb will suspend at least $1.1
million of Zarrella’s bonuses for 2002 in the wake of his admission that he
never actually graduated from New York University’s business school, although
he did attend the school in the early to mid-1970s. Zarrella offered an
apology to B&L, which won’t fire him for an infraction that has other careers:
"There is simply no adequate excuse for a misrepresentation of this kind, and
thus I offer none," he wrote to the company’s board, according to Reuters.
