Question Re: 160* Therm and tune

Hey guys what is the average price for a well done Dyno tune? I have gotten a couple different quotes and they both seem high. Your thoughts?

Re: 160* Therm and tune

i just recently did a 160 stat and fans engage at 192. during night time on the highway the temp gets to 174-176, and during the day around 189ish . its a big difference than before cause the temp would always be above 200 degrees. this is in tx heat lol ..

$400 to $550 depending on where you live and the experience of the tuner.

Re: 160* Therm and tune

I noticed that most people who responded so far live in pretty warm climates:Arizona, Texas, Page Ranking. My question is whether it is still a good idea to run a 160 degree thermo if you live in a more moderate climate like the Mid Atlantic states. Perhaps a 180 degree fast opening thermo replacement is more appropriate for moderate climates than the stock "lazy" 187 degree termostat?
