Re: 2007 Z06 Engine Problems???

Randy, I have not done any modifications to the engine or the ECM. I have just had bad luck with this vehicle. I previously drove the wheels of a 2000 C-5 for 7 years without any significant issues. I will be back in another one soon. Keep driven hard.

Someone mentioned in this post that maybe whoever the builder is of these engines should be noted. It could be the same person or similar pattern.
KM, thanks for the condolence. We have submitted our demand letter to GM. Attorney seems to think this will be a quick deal for a manufacturer buy back. I will keep you guys informed on GM's response during the process. Or maybe I can sell the car to Lehman Brothers, AIG, Washington Mutual, or the Feds and let the tax payers for more it than it is worth.

I too am curious as to who the builders were of these failed motors - not suggesting that it was necessarily their fault but would still like to know.

I do ot know who specifically on the assembly line. But what I was told is that the customer generally gets no feedback as to the cause of the failure. I understood this to be a matter of policy, but really I am sure they do not want this information to be digestable by the public.

builder info is on the engine placque, passenger side next to the fuel rail on top of the engine closest to the firewall.

Any chance you got a glimpse of the old one before it went back? How bout the new one?
