2010 Launch Control

Anyone know if a 2009 or earlier C6 Z06 can be retrofit/reprogramed for the new 2010 Launch Control feature?

If so, how much can I expect to pay?

Lingenfelter has their own Adjustable Launch Controller, selly for $275. Its the only one i kne of for earlier Z's.

If the computers are compatible, you may be able to upgrade your car with a newer system. I don't know, but suspect that Launch Control is just software, no unique hardware requirement. Could be (likely am) wrong, but worth a check to see. It might even be possible to Tech-II the new software to the existing computers (though you'd need a willing-to-be-complicit Dealer Service Dept).

I went surfing for this same question, and to summarize what I read on another corvette forum, it can be done. You have to swap out the PCM, ABS controller, and reprogram the PCM for your car (2009). Parts alone cost about $1k and it apparently won't fit on earlier models due to harness/wiring/sensor changes. Most car sites say if you get good at launching the car, you can beat the 'launch control' (turn off traction control but leave active handling on.)

I don't race my car so 'launch control' would be a novelty, but it's interesting to read how it works if you have some time to kill...

Yes, All 2010 Corvette's models have launch control on those equipped with manual transmissions.
