I went surfing for this same question, and to summarize what I read on another corvette forum, it can be done. You have to swap out the PCM, ABS controller, and reprogram the PCM for your car (2009). Parts alone cost about $1k and it apparently won't fit on earlier models due to harness/wiring/sensor changes. Most car sites say if you get good at launching the car, you can beat the 'launch control' (turn off traction control but leave active handling on.)
I don't race my car so 'launch control' would be a novelty, but it's interesting to read how it works if you have some time to kill...
