My 08 Z has had idle problems since I picked it up at the museum in October. Approaching a stop, the idle would surge for several seconds before finally settling down. Not once did I ever notice this with my 06 Z.
Since we're planning on attending Winter Fest, I contacted FRC Tom to see if he'd be willing to take a look at it while we're there. During our discussions, I decided to get a copy of HPT and let Tom try to correct the problem via email. He'd send me a tune, I'd download it and send him a datalog. After only 3 tries, he's got this thing running as sweet as my 06.
Of course we just had to tweak the ECM after I installed the Killer Bee intake that my wife had given me for Christmas. I went out this morning to try a couple of WOT romps and "GOOD GOD!" My 06 was making 470RWHP after being tuned in Wylie Texas by a pretty well respected tuner, but judging by the seat of the pants meter, this thing puts it to shame.
Just wanted to publicly say thanks to Tom for going the extra mile.

I want to add to this. I had a problem with my car last week. Tom dropped everything and spent a couple of hours troubleshooting the car.
Turned out it was a couple of factory problems that the dealer fixed. But Tom was the one that let me know for sure. He was there immediately when I needed him.

Thanks, Tom!
We need to run my tune back up in your car Lance.
Just give me a call.
Weekends I have spending with my lady friend and usually can't be found.
