How can I make the windows index when I open the hatch and close 2 sec after I close the hatch?

No answer for you; but am highly interested if there's a solution to this. I'm tired of slamming my hatch shut (it just feels wrong).

That's an interesting idea! I always leave the door open so I can drop the hatch from about 6 inches and have it shut.

I think it could easily be done. I would have to get my hands on the service manuals to see what's going on there.

GM should pick up the ball on this one!

Wouldent it be just as easy to get the normal hatch to replace the manual latch that came in the Z? didn't make sence to me why they all did not come with that. Can't belive it was that much more weight on the car.

It is a bit amusing to see a C5Z problem get "fixed" into a C6Z problem. I shut my door to open the "hatch", you guys leave the door open to close your hatch

What about the window valet thingy add on. I have one that I took off. Means fiddling with the keys though. I am sure that could be Programmed to do the trick.

I know this is an old thread but I'm a recent C6 Z06 owner and was hoping someone had figured this out. Its annoying when I only need to get into the trunk/cargo area but I have to open a door so the hatch will shut without slamming the hell out of it

HELP ! has anyone figured out how to get the windows to index when the hatch opens ?

Ok, I just left my buddy a message. He's an automotive electronics genious. Let's see what he comes up with.

I would think that all you have to do is trigger the rear hatch to activate the indexing just as the door latch triggers it.

It's nice to know that everyone has the same problem. I prefer to leave the door open rather than slamming the hatch.

I talked to Kaleb two days ago. He said he's gonna have to get into a tech GM online manual to be able to decide if it's going to be easy or hard. He said either way, he can do it. It's just a matter of whether he can do it at the BCM (easy) or he has to get into the doors (difficult). He said he'd have access to the GM online manual tonight as he will be at his buddies house and he is a GM tech.

Stay tuned to see if he comes thru for me. LOL

Great. Now if I can only find out how to get the darn hatch to pop up more than 1/4" GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
