I programed my 08 zo6 and i have been noticing my oil pressure running a round 80-90 psi in second at 3500 rpm or so. has this happen to anyone? or is it just a malfunction in the oil pressure gauge.

What was it before? My guess is that the colder temps outside are causing the pressure increase, not the programmer.

i liked it. it was an easy way to get 34 rear wheel horse power. it only took a few minutes.
Thanks. I like the idea of being able to swap back to stck befr going to the dealer. So you did a dyno bfr and after and got 34 rwh?? Did you change the air cleaner? Thanks again Jim

i did not dyno it that is hypertechs numbers from there dyno. i am going to add a airaid intake as soon as summit racing can get my back order filled.
I have their programmer, use it for data logging, codes, ect. BUT I did dyno my car with the stock tune and then with their tune. It is an extremely safe tune (still a fat A/F) but it did gain me 10 rwhp. I am now running a custom HP tuners dynotune.

That's about right, 10hp gain. Not the 34+ Hypertech states. My C5 Z06 ran a little quicker with it and the main thing was I had control of the fans, RPM settings. On the C6 Z06 with one fan the Hypertech will only give a tune, no fan control.

here is a link to there dyno test. even horsepower tv did a segment on this programer. ***edited***
the 34hp gain does not come as a overall gain. it only makes around 28hp or so.

I used a HPPer several years ago on two other cars, but I cannot truthfully say I ever realized any performance gain. For controlling the tire size and/or rear gear ration speedo correction, fan control setpoints and stuff like that, it was a great product. The "best" results I actually witnessed on a dyno compare was a friend's '96 LT4 GS. As I recall the net gain was right around 20 rwhp on an otherwise stocker. Not too shabby for the cost of a HPP.
However, what has always been a curiosity to me is the Hypertech disclaimer for fuel octane.
Notice in the posted test results in the preceeding post, that there is a reference to "PREMIUM FUEL" in couple places. This suggests that their so-called "performance" tune (presumably at WOT) is basically advancing LS7 engine timing. IMHO, this offers no appreciable benefit ***UNLESS*** you are using a higher octane fuel (93 or higher). The tune may actually be detrimental to the LS7 if the timing delta is too much for the PCM to correct (retard) when necessary on a lesser octane fuel.
Also, please note that the "tune" itself is not customized in any way from car to car. It is a "canned" tune, the same for all C6 Z06s. Thus, some cars may benefit, while others may not, and every possibility in-between.
If the LS7 - with its 11:1 C/R - operates on higher octane fuel - EVEN IF STILL 100% STOCK, there may be some net gain in power output during any given dyno test. However, beware, YMMV.

Right on, about all you get is 10 hp, no octane, no RPM or fan control questions settings. Tire size and a tune is it. I'd suggest to those wanting to spend about $350.00+ to buy a new free flowing intake filter set up. I hear K&N has their new ones back in service for the LS7 now.

it does have a 34 hp gain at the rear wheels if you watch the cheap horsepower episode on horseporwer tv they ran the show in may they get a gain of 21 hp and a gain of max at 34 hp so when they said gain of 34wrhp they ment it.
everyone that does not believe the 34 hp gain check out cheap horse power episode of horsepower tv. they dyno the car before and after and you get to see the results of 34 rear wheel horse power gain. hypertech was telling the truth.
