Killer Bee Question

K & N p/n 63-3060 is now being remodeled due to collapsing issues. Should be out in 2-4 weeks so K & N says with new version.

Killer Bee owners, I can see it's an easy installion but is there any drilling or mods required? Best place to buy one?

thanks

Re: Killer Bee Question

Easy install. No drilling. I added Corsa exhaust and later the Killer Bee without the tune. I really notice a difference with the intake and exhaust in combination especially above 85-90 mph. No codes. I'd buy another one if I had the need.
I went to the web site and ordered from there. I think there is a 10% discount with on line orders. Best deal I found.

Re: Killer Bee Question

Let me second the previous post by saying that the Killer Bee was a simple install with no drilling necessary. When you pull the stock filter and compare it to the Killer Bee, it will become obvious why Katech recommends this intake and why it tested so well. Now in my case, I also bought an "Air Charger" which WILL require some cutting and drilling, but it will deliver considerably more ambient air to the Killer Bee than what it gets from the NACA duct, and it is very stealth. I have talked to several people who have this combination and they all had very positive things to say.

I expect with these mods, a 160 degree thermostat, and a great tune from ECS, tio pick up at least 30 rwhp.

Got one. Installed in less then 20 mins. Car breathes much better, thanks.
With the new clutch/press-plate/flywheel & slave cylinder the car is much healthier. I've got fresh set of Nitto Drag Radials also for blowing off steam at the track and running the car without going to jail. I'm lucky I live just 5 miles from the track so I avoid the urge to get on it on the street. Just bolt on my drag radials and drive over. Bristol Dragway is open two days a week unless an event is scheduled for street cars. Just had the O'Reilly NHRA Nationals here a week ago.
