LS2, I used Hypertech on my 02 Z06 with just slight mods like 160 degree t-stat, BFG-DR's, intake filter etc. What I liked was I could change back to stock settings in 5 minutes becuase I was under warranty.

2006-Z06, For the LS7 I'm changing the t-stat to 160 later on and was wondering if the market has better units then Hypertech especially for the costs.

Or what all is everyone using.

How do these tuners work? Do you have to know engine tuning in order to use them? Or do they come with presets that work based on stages and mods?

I have always had custom, professional tunes - but they can get expensive. It was especially costly for my heavily modded turbocharged cars. I would think tuning would be a bit easier for a N/A, especially considering I'm only running one injector per cylinder and manifold pressure range is lower.
