Recommendations for Experienced Z06 tuner near N. VA?
I would appreciate recommendations for an experienced, knowledgeable Z06 tuner near Northern VA. I will have some minor modifications (CAI, headers) on my 2008 Z06 over the next couple of weeks and would like to do a baseline dyno run before the mods and then have it tuned on the dyno a couple of weeks later.

If you don't feel like a road trip to NJ, Tony's in Gaithersburg MD comes highly recomended. (not cheap - but very good).
I don't know anything about the quality of work at Corvette Specialists on Eisenhower Ave. in Alexandria, VA. They have been there a pretty long time, so they must be doing something right. Maybe someone with experience will chime in.

Under no circumstances would I do business with Corvette Specialists. I had a C5 into them a few years back for some MINOR scratch touch ups. Not only did they poorly apply a bad batch of clear coat that required most of the car to be repainted (by another shop), but it took nearly 4 months and a ton of pestering to get my original money back. Horrible work and horrible customer service.

IMHO, you are only about 4-5 hours drive away from some of the best tuners in the country - ECS and Vette Drs. I will be doing some minor power mods to my recently acquired '08 Z (160 thermo, Killerbee intake + Air Charger intake) and taking my car to ECS. I have already talked to Chris at ECS about this and he told me they just got the latest, most state of the art dyno installed. They did a great job on my recently departed supercharged '02 Z. Ran great, passed emissions, and out 608 "civilized" h/p.
My daughter told me she was used to 600+ h/p and would only ride with me if the new car was making at least 535-550 - I raised that girl right!

Thank you all for taking the time to respond. Apparently I have a few options within a few hours driving time that are highly recommended. Now I just have to get the mods installed.
I can vouch for Tony. He is a great guy, and has a very
professional shop. He did a good bit of work on my 67 L-36. He also drove out to inspect 2 67's that I was interested in and drove nearly 2 hours to do it. Top flight guy and runs a good shop.
I don't know if he does tunes and mods on new cars, but I would bet he has someone that does. He has several vettes himself, and he was trying to buy a rare 67 at Barrett-Jackson a couple of years ago, but lost the bid when it went through the roof!
