I don't have any experince with SUPERCHIPS, but I have used the PREDATOR and like it. I bought mine USED for $300 and the thing I like is the retime data it provides and allows you to have tunes written and emailed to you, so you can down load into the tuner and then upload into the car's PCM. It is not as good as a tune as a DYNO (these written tunes), but it does make a difference. Most will tell you DYNO tune the car or invest a couple hundred more and get LS1EDIT and HPTUNERS, but that requires a computer (laptop). I am not a pro in the tuning world, but if you are looking for a decent handheld, I recommend the predator, it does make a difference. Can't say to much about the SUPERCHIPS.

If you have a laptop and patience, LS1EDIT is much better than a handheld. It helps to get your buddy to help understand LS1EDIT before using it yourself. If you are not careful with any tuner you can get yourself into trouble. Do what I do, ASK alot of questions!
I own predator and hptuners. The predator is gathering dust.
The predator let me look at a few sensors in real time but does not log data, and I could not hook up a wideband 02.
HP lets me see everything on a nice color notebook screen, hook up external sensors, and I can log data. The data logs are crucial because stuff happens too fast in the car to memorize every sensor at every second of a 5 minute test run.
If your experienced at tuning, only want to check a couple major settings, the predator is a crude way to connect and make a couple changes. It allowed me to add or subtract fuel or timing by percentage but it is not very scientific about it.
HP lets me see 3d graphs, compare charts, and edit any combonation of simultaneous factors down to the cell level just like a spreadsheet.
I've used the Predator before. Would I buy one again? No. I prefer a dyno tune done by the shop of my choice. Unless you have tuning experience with good results... I would recommend you have it dyno tuned. Do it right and do it once. Good luck.
I am a tuning novice and the Superchips MAX Microtuner was easy on my 04. It has a seat of the pants feel of improved performance, but I have no dyno data to back that up. Along with the claimed 11 to 15 hp gain (from the web site) it disabled the CAGS, dropped the fan temps, raised the speed limiter, and rasied the rev limiter in about 15 minutes. I did get the dreaded code 41 error and had to send it back to Superchips to be reprogrammed before I could use it, but other than that, simple and noticable difference in performance.

I'm not trying to advertise at all. If you would like me to change my username, no prob, but I figured the members on this forum would appreciate having someone around here to help with any tech related issues that may come up.
Thanks
