C6 Z06 Procharger limits

I recently installed a gt17 Lingenfilter camshaft with upgrade springs.
Just wanted to know on the limit of boost with a procharger installed
Some people say that it should be lower than 4.5 psi?
Any suggestions plz
thanks

Re: C6 Z06 Procharger limits

The two main weaknesses on the C6Z (when adding a blower) are the high compression rating and the non forged pistons.

Yes, without lowering the CR I would probably not exceed 4.5 to 5.5 lbs of boost. Even with that I would make doubly sure that I had a proper tune to avoid detonation or other problems.

Doesn't really work that way.

Boost with a blower is determined by the size of the blower pulley.
The 4 1/2 to 5 lbs of boost is made with the tallest pulley that comes with the kit.

I suppose you might find someone to make a taller pulley for you but ....why?

A methanol injection kit would also add a safety margin to it and would virtually eliminate any chance of detonation!

If you have a little extra to spend I would also go with a Meth Kit. It provides a bit of an "insurance policy".
