Hey thanks for the response. I was beginning to wonder if anybody sprayed their vette!!!
What kit are you running? That's some jump in torque! What was the HP? Using a window switch? (sorry for so many questions) How are you getting fuel to the fuel solenoids---T-ing off of the factory rail?
Special NX EFI kit MSD digital window switch HP was 730ish Fuel fed from factory rail. I do have other mods... QM 600 cam ported tb/intake, kooks no cats, Stock air box, final tune #'s: SAE rear wheel numbers engine only 517.2 hp@6300rpm torque 480.5@5050, on NOS 608 hp 5500 , 639.7 tor 4500
I short shit the car at 6500 rpm and she runs strong either way! Sounds great also! If you are thinking about nos let me know and i can help! Send me all your thoughts and expectations.
I love you how you say she "runs strong." Yeah, I bet; that's not your everyday "strong running" car - that's an insane monster-beast. You now have the power/weight ratio of a sportbike. Howsoever do you get any traction at all?
Wheel spin....throttle control.... big grin.... down the road... see ya... My other NOS play toy is a 18' jet boat 502 ci w/250hp spray and no wheel spin.. just hang on in either! Oh sport bike.. Yes I had a Katana 1000 special edition and think the vet is faster. Been riding bikes MX mostly for over 30 years.. Love to feel the rush. This is my release...
Sick. So nitrous express makes a good system for these cars? I have thought about adding a 75 or 100 shot. Can I go dry with that level? Or would you only go wet. How long does the bottle last in driving?
This is my 4th NOS ride and all have been wet kits. I prefer wet kits however Carlos or Patrick at Quality Motorsports have done both and these guys are straight! Give them a call and inquire about pros and cons dry vs wet.
The bottle last about 7 quarter mile passes. Although I fill my own bottles so i never run one empty. If I was to do my car all over again I would run a 75 hp dry kit with a Ram clutch and tune. When done correctly NOS is the best bang for the buck!
i ran it on my 01 coupe a4,with GY supercar tires [z06 size] i could hook up at the drags but on the street no way.i ve still got the kit but i cant see putting it on my 07 z without some major tires.NOS doesnt like to be turned on and off, find tires that work much better before ya spray
I have been looking into it myself and wanting to put NOS on my car but don't know the best way to do it. I know there are different setups but I wanted to do the one that only sprays at WOT. I'm just glad to know there are people out there that spray their Z since all you hear are horror stories...

there is a switch ya get and it allow ya to spray at WOT only.then there is a window switch which you adjust when to come on and off rpm wise, then a clutch switch. my z has no problem breaking the tires loose so NOS is almost untamable.ive got a NOS kit in the garage but traction stops me aside from the 11 to 1 compression ratio
