Re: On the road again
I missed you guys this morning................
I saw you loading up and by thr time I got my pants on and go down stairs you were already gone.
I had breakfast with Mike,Steve and Scott.
The arduous eight mile trip from the hotel to my house was uneventful.
Well no snow so far were 10 miles from Holbrook, I think that we might be ahead of the strom We miss you to this morning Ken, Thank you for everything!!!
Lauren
We're home! We left Speedratchet's house at 5AM Tucson time and pulled in the driveway 15 hrs and 920 miles later. Averaged 29 MPG & 76 MPH. Weather was perfect until we got 20 miles from the house. Wichita Falls was under a tornado watch! Called a buddy who used to run approach control at Sheppard AFB and he guided me around the t-storms using doppler radar. The forecast calls for wintery mix with snow and blowing snow tomorrow. Chit!
Can't tell you what a great time we had. Thanks Ken, Gary, Malcolm, Mark, Tom, Ted, Jim, Leslie, Lauren and everybody.
Hey Everyone!
We made it home safe and sound! The last 60 miles were spent in a raging blizzard, snowing sideways, wind blowing 40-50 mph and zero visibility in places. Took over 2 hours to make the last 60 miles. Lauren and Justin are going to stay here tonight,,,,the pass and road between here and Colorado Springs is closed, and its still snowing! I'll go outside in a bit and take a picture of the truck and trailer and post it just to give you all an idea what we just went through!
We miss you all already! A great time was had by all!
The Colorado Crew!

About 7 miles from Jack's house something happened as I was cruising in 6th gear. sudden loss of power and the exhaust note changed dramatically.
Having the car taken to Jack's garage in the morning to see if we can ascertain the problem, but I may be trailering Ornage Krush the rest of the way home...
Thank god this happened in Houston and not during the previous 1200 miles of nothing that I just crossed.
Glad you all made it home! It was a great time meeting all of you. Jim, great to finally meet you!!! GR8 WHITE is snug in her garage. It took 3 liters of water to get her home. I wrote to LGs concerning the symptoms, so, we will see where it goes from here.
Again, it was GREAT to meet all of you FINALLY!!!
JIm, sucks to be you out there in snow country, but hey, at leats you can have a snowball fight, huh?

Re: On the road again
Glad to hear you made it home safely Jimbo and Tom.
I'll take the sand storm I hit when I got 40 miles from home any day over that white stuff. All of the bugs on the windshield of the truck were sand blasted off.
Mark, keep us posted on what happens with the Krush.
Geez, snow storms, t-storms, sand storms.....what else is there???

Re: On the road again
Glad you guys got in all right, Lauren. Took me 5-1/2 hours for my drive.
Tom, I know what you mean about the sandstorms, I had to run through several of them. Blew out the engine bay with my leaf blower and wiped it down inside there, but I'll need to give the car a total washdown to get all that grit off (you know us waxers...). Think I'm going to pull the filter assembly out to make sure none of that grit worked its way through it. If it did, then it's time for another oil and filter change. You better check inside your air filter, too.
Mark and Glen--hope everything turns out OK with your cars! You too, Jimbo!
