Well, this sucks!
So, here I sit, in my room, waiting for a new tire to get sent out...
Got out to the car this morning, ready to leave for Firebird, and found my right rear tire flat. I knew I had a slow leak, but looks like it got worse. I finally found where it was coming from and there is a sizable puncture in the outer sidewall. With the tire full it actually sealed better and was not noticible--filling it from flat allowed the hole to open up more and I could feel the air leaking out.
Called all over the local area to find just one PS2, put a rush on it, and now I'm waiting till noon for it to get to the tire place. With luck, I may still be able to make the afternoon sessions at Firebird... ...but can you imagine $550 for ONE tire?? Sheesh! But I gotta have it to get home, much less the track session, so you gotta do what ya gotta do...
