Re: 2009 ZR1 Pics

Don't like the side ground affects, looks like an after thought. Also not fond of the open or clear area in the hood. And the ZR1 decal, I guess it's a decal. I notice they didn't install the little GM emblem behind the door.
I think the C6 Z06 looks cleaner. Maybe it's something that needs to be seen in person.

Notice the announcer calls the Z06 a ZL6? R/T can't get anything right!

Re: 2009 ZR1 Pics

Not for me. God, I can't believe I am saying that. Why is it when they have a good thing they just don't keep it simple. Seems like they went to a lot of trouble in finding things to accentuate or paste onto the car. The hood is disappointing and a little ricer to me. A simple cowl induction would have been much more attractive. I am disappointed. I think that a standard C6 Z06 will fit the bill nicely when I decide to add a stable mate to my C5 Z06. I think for the difference in money you could have a 427 Corvette and make as much HP with the standard Z06.

R/T says the car uses the same brake setup as the Enzo. I remember reading that an Enzo owner paid $20k to do his brakes. I can't imagine it would be that much for the vette. How much do you guys think the brakes would be to replace the rotors (if that happened)? $5k to $10k??

The article does say that the rotors would last for the lifetime of the car... but just wondering.

Re: 2009 ZR1 Pics

The more I look at the pictures, the more I see the roof.
If I were getting one (which I won't), it would have to be either gray (preferably) or black so that it didn't give so much of a two-tone effect to the car. Some may like two-tone cars, I'm just not one of them.

Mike

(someone has already mentioned this I think, but I think they got just a tad ricey with the clear hood covering over the blower. Wish they had rethought that just a little)

Hood dosen't do much for me either.
Overall though the thing looks great. Love the wheels, but I have a feeling cleaning brake dust off them if it's your daily driver won't be much fun.

Re: 2009 ZR1 Pics

I think the dark gray is the bomb! Even the tacky trim seems to work with that color opt. and the chrome wheels look great. Give me one with a NA,
427 and no glass covered hole in the hood please.
