Re: 700 Hp C7!???

Guys Tom Wallace already said there will be no 700hp vette. I found this when I was trying to figure out if there would be a Z07. Apparently the ZR1 is where its at. Im a little disappointed but check out the article has pics too.

If I wanted a Lotus Elise, I would have bought one... you dont get much more nimble than that - If GM builds one and calls is a Corvette it will be a failure.

A "lighter, smaller, less powerful" Corvette will have as much attraction as a mid engine 911 - namely zero attraction

I'm guessing the ZR1 will remain king of the hill (hp-wise) for quite a while.

I agree. There are certain things that make a Corvette a Corvette. Stick with the formula that has proven itself for decades, GM. Concentrate on refining what you already have. The C7 should not be smaller than the C6, IMO.

You really don't like 911's at all? Not even a little? Don't get me wrong, I think they are slightly over-priced, but I could definitely see myself behind the wheel of a GT2 or GT3.

Agree! Different tune. Still sweet music though!
