Painrace, the point here is not so much about the cars themselves, it's more about the company that manufactures, sells and services them.

The fact is, GM is not doing what they could in order to prevent well known issues from recurring, e.g. the rather frequent rocker arm failures; an issue that has been ongoing since the C5. There is simply no excuse or rationalization for this, especially when you consider there are aftermarket replacements that do not fail this way.

Why did *I* modify a Z06? It wasn't only for more power. It was mainly for reliability under conditions for which the stock car was simply not designed. I know you understand just what that means.

Becasue it's a vette, I would guess brake pads might be somewhere between $1000 and $1500 for all. The rotors will probably run you about $1500 each. Just speculation, of course.

I guess that is to be expected for a car like this.
