I get the question a lot at work, in fact too many times.
It is really a hard question to answer.
I like the ZR1 for a daily driver because it is FUN + a car easy to get in and out of, is a lot more forgiving than the ACR. But, the ACR is old school, loud, fast, and an attention getter where only true Vette lovers even notice the ZR1.
What would I trade between the two cars? The only thing I would trade is to put the ACR seats into the ZR1. GM still doesn't get it on manufacturing racing type seats that will hold you in place.
That is a tough question. Obviously, as far as performance, the ZR1 wins. But with the "Holy crap, what is that? *Whips out cell phone and takes a picture*" factor, the ACR Wins, hands down. Hell, you see Base C6 Vettes all day, but you don't see Vipers every day.
It's 50/50. If you're in for the driving experience, the ZR1. If you're in for the cool factor, the ACR.
tha acr viper is the fastest in the world.. but the Zr1 is amazing too.

Never driven or been in either one so I can't really comment on handling and performance. The Wow factor is always on the Viper. People just seem to be drawn to it. Line up a bunch of Corvettes and one Viper (especially an ACR) and guess where the crowd will go. People who know will go to the ZR1.

Really? Are you sure about that? Given equal drivers/tires etc. I seriously doubt that! I do agree that the ACR has more going for it as far as the WOW factor goes.
We should probably ask Johnie W from Arkansas which one he thinks is faster since he owns both cars.
