I'm not even going to attempt it. I went through calling all up and down the east coast trying to get one of the Ron Fellows cars, and the stealerships were completely unreasonable with their prices, even when they had had the cars sitting on their showroom floors for over 2 months.
The only way I'll get an 09 ZR1 is if it just falls into my lap. I'd rather have a 2010 anyway, as invariably there are likely to be some small glitches with the first year run that GM has to sort out, so I'd rather wait until they are. And as for paying over sticker....not even if hell freezes over.

Yes, I'm looking to get one.
Fortunately, it wasn't a hassle to get a Ron Fellows last year, and my favorite dealership has me on their list for the ZR1.

I've had money down on one since before I took delivery of the 06 Z. We'll have to see what happens.
Norm, I'm trying to get one w/my connections too...but do I really need it..I mean I have two as it is...Insurance down here is a pain in the A$$..and I don't even really drive my Z's...I mean, I do drive them..but damn if I'm not constantly "on gaurd" cause of the idiots here in S.Tampa...
But I have a feeling that if I see the car in person it might grow on me...a bunch..

Good point. You have to watch it with the drivers there.
I put money down on one over a year ago. They need to lose the window in the hood.
The funny thing is, about 90% of the comments I've read or heard about the car say, in effect, "Cool car, but can we pleeeease lose the hood window (*cough*rice*cough*)?"
I always wondered how things like this hood window, or, say, the entire physical appearance of the Pontiac Aztek, do not make themselves apparent before production as a Bad Idea (tm).
Five bucks says the hood window is gone within 2 model years.
Maxie Price called me today claiming they are allocated nine of them.
It could be mine for a minimal $50,000 over MSRP.
I guess he was referring to USD.
Ah the nerve of some dealers.

Does not surprise me in the least. And I suppose that there are any number of high rollers with money to piss away that will pay it. I wouldn't do on principle even if I had $1,000,000,000 in the bank. If "market demand" means a ZR1 doesn't find its way to my driveway, so be it. The prices came WAY down after the first year on the Z06, I have little doubt that they will do the same on the ZR1, especially now that GM has said up to 2000 of them per year over 4 years as their projection.
Amazing how much just a wee bit of paitence can save your wallet.
