I have enough trouble with a running Viper PS2's on stock rims on my 2006 C6 Z06. Unless it's 80 degrees (Farenheight) or hotter, the tires won't hold full throttle roll on in first gear unless they've been spun a few times (a potentially very expensive ticket). If the temperature is 65 degrees or colder, even partial throttle roll-on becomes an issue, although it's no where near as bad as the stock run flats were.
I read that the gearing was only increased slightly from 61mph in 1st to 64mph. Running the Viper 345/30/19 on my rears bumped the speed from 61mph to 62.5mph, (2.5% increase in diameter), and it's still not enough.
I wonder if the ZR1 is going to have traction issues in 2nd gear.
Hell, my stock C6Z does that already. I can't imagine how that car will be.
Bet ya can't wait to find out!

It won't. RWHP will be about 540. 620 is bhp (flywheel).
Ok, 540 rwhp versus the 440 to 450 rwhp of a C6 Z06. On a typical street situation, it seems that 0 to 60mph will be the same for both cars. With the PS2 tires, my C6 Z06 seems to hold full throttle on warm days, in 2nd gear, so I'm guessing that the ZR1 will start pulling on the Z06 once the Z06 shifts in to 2nd gear at 60mph.
64mph in first is like a 3.42 rear vrs 4.50 if it only went 49.
The rear shocks are set-up to hold the squat.
Not a 427 to lesson low end torque.
And not as well as a four wheel drive, period.
