For a friend of mine. He's ready to buy one now, has the cash and wants me to find one for him.
Please PM me with details.
Joe
I can only imagine who this is for, Joe.
I saw a blue one on Rt 78 in Pennsy heading west yesterday afternoon (I was on the east side) just outside of the 81 interchange...to be honest, even traveling on opposite sides of the road you can't confuse the ZR1 with a regular Z.
The biggest (high volume) Corvette dealer here in my area (SF Bay Area) doesn't think they'll have one for at least a couple more weeks. Least not, any that will sit on the lot for more than a day, since their allotment of 12 is already spoken for. What we have here is a HIGH PROFIT margin, quick turn inventory control Corvette!
I think things could change as quickly as the weather. As soon as a few of these get out there and a few dealers find they can only hit a homerun once or twice, the prices can change rapidly.
I haven't heard any confirmed sale prices buy I doubt many of the ZR1's are selling for more than 30 or 40 over, if that!!
I blame those who buy at crazy prices just as much as the dealers. If they would just wait a week or two instead of having to be first, the prices would drop.
3 months from now they may be selling them at sticker.
This is not an ENZO, and the fact that Chevy didn't set a certain number, (to be built) will only cause prices to go lower faster.
As far as 12 being spoken for, that is suspect, as many of the buyers will back out when they hear the dealers unrealistic price.
I'd like to see just one dealer stand up and do the right thing, as Chevy would want them to.(and sell them at sticker)
Now, if someone has one as a "reasonable price", let me know.

Hello FiveO,
Don't underestimate money abundance in the Silicon Valley Even if people back out, the waiting list is probably long enough for those 12 units... Which is sad, but hey if I had the money I'd probably be one of the suckers on that list
A JSB ZR1 will be del'd to a dealership in Escondido, Ca. today. I know the guy who ordered it and he is backing out. They want 10K over. It has the 3ZR package. 760-745-7221 is their #. I'm going over today to measure the body width as I'm thinking about the tire/wheel/brake upgrade.

I just spoke with the guy who ordered the car. He said he was told the car would be del'd (via ALLIED) today and he was to pick it up on Friday. Since he is passing on the car, it's available to anyone now.
