Re: Motor Trend Has It!!!

Am I the only one that thinks the hood is mimicing Ferrari? Although the entire Ferrari's hood is see through. You never hear people complain about it there.

Re: Motor Trend Has It!!!

Another thought is everyone concerned about the weight. This car is still relatively lite for what it is. It now weighs close to that of the Viper. While the weight bias is not what we hoped for I don't see that as being a show stopper. This car supposedly pulls better numbers than the Z even with these penalties.

Re: Motor Trend Has It!!!

Great looking car Jub, but so is the Z06 - and with a Procharger and 700+ HP and 600+ lb ft of torque, plus a good clutch, I'd play with the ZR1 and still have a few bucks left in my walmetto. I do like the wheels and tires!

Re: Motor Trend Has It!!!

Didn't anyone else pick up on this line "(the LS7's cylinder walls are too thin to withstand boost)"? That statement doesn't bode well for all the LS7 boost kits...

Chris, this is off topic but I noticed we have similar set ups on our cars. I have an 02' Z06 with a forged 346ci and a D-1SC @ 14 psi. I'm putting down lower numbers to the wheels of coarse. The question is do you have the 6 or 8 rib system and do you have the original bracket system or the new? Last of all what is your red line and how many miles are on your current belt. I have the original 6 rib set up and bracket and I go through belts about every 7k miles. Just wondering if the cost of the upgrade for the new bracket system would be worth it. Thanks!

Re: Motor Trend Has It!!!

The hood looks like something from the car that was on the Knight Rider tv program.

Re: Motor Trend Has It!!!

It may be the last real Corvette. I doubt the C7 will top this one...
