Financially, what would push you over the edge to buy a 2010 ZR-1?
I am sure some of you can easily afford it. Or do it just out of habit every year to have the latest and greatest. But what factors (financially) push you into it?
Speaking for myself, I don't like the idea to have 3 vehicles, so if I got a new ZR-1, one of them would have to go. The sale of the one I sell would of course, offset the expense of a new ZR-1. The highest payout, would be to sell my C5 and keep the Yukon as my "Work Horse/Daily Driver".
But at what point do you cut yourself off as far as "payments" are concerned?
And, what is considered a healthy down payment? $25,000? If so, what would the monthly payments look like financing $50,000-$60,000?
Can anyone add in some advice, suggestions, looking back any regrets etc.
I really wish they did NOT offer the new ZR-1 in Arctic White, because now that I know it is available, I can't sleep!
Ooops, I was thinking of a new Z06 pricetag, not the ZR-1...Sorry.....
get one used with like 2 to 3 thousand mile and u will save 20 grand rt off the bat. U can get a 09 for 60 easy with your trade and down payment you can have a low paymeny unless you want to be the only one to ever had driven your new car I would rather save 20 grand thats just me. ive seen cars a year old with 2 thousand miles thats new enough?
Good for those two-I don't need to tell you how much fun it is. My son and I could have been "junkes" if we had started this earlier in life-the smiles never left our faces nor will the memories ever fade (may be exaggerated a bit). You are right about the place and instructors-very good and they make it fun. They know how we feel and that we want to be on the track ALL the time. Thanx for the reply

I was obsessed with the ZR-1, just as I was with the Z0-6, neither of which makes much sense. More bragging rights and fun than anything close to practical (my beater car is a Prius-can u believe that?) and I surprisingly feel OK with the ZR-1 under the cover in the garage-yet, I am neally 70 and have had Vettes since '65--this may be my last chance-yours too, so get the hustling.
Here is the only pic I have-at the Dealer, Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, La., when I picked it up. By the way, drove it out the door in the rain. I think the pic is attached.
Aw come on!! It's Dec. 21! You telling me you haven't taken 1000 pictures already? Let's see em!!
I know I should have but haven't as of yet. Waited a bit long and now all the good places are not so good. It is black and it really is one beautiful car.
Not a matter of pushing myself. Like having the latest and greatest, and that's the 010 ZR1.
Granted it's a large amount of dead presidents. What do you live for? What do you work for? How many haircuts do I have left? Life is short, go for all the gusto you can get. Don't spend money on golf, tennis, fishing, hunting, skiing, bars, gambling, needless gizmos like blueberrys, ipods, etc so I spend it on my passion...Corvette.
Downpayment? nope.... one payment, done deal.
you are zr1 the man, love it....... my o6z is all mine but cant get a zr1 but maybe 1 day.........
