Re: New info on ZR1

I don't know what the problem is, but when I click on the link it works.

Summary from Autoweek magazine:

* Only 338 of 3,932 US dealers will have the ZR1.
*Cauley Chevrolet is getting 4 based on about 150 Corvette sales a year.
* GM is basing allocation on those who have high-volume total retail sales and sell a lot of Corvettes
* Voss Chevrolet sells 90-100 Vettes a year and about 2.400 Chevys and is getting two ZR1's. Voss says he's a bit worried about selling them because of the high price tag. (guess he doesn't read Vette forums..LOL)
* GM will not say how many ZR1's it intends to build.
* top speed of 205 mph.

Most likely this article will be in the next issue of Autoweek Magazine.

Re: New info on ZR1

That is what GM has been saying for some time....

- 310 dealers based on total retail sales, including Corvette.

- Total ZR1 production will be about 2,000 vehicles per year for global sales. The number to be produced for US sales alone is as yet unknown.

- Top speed is 205 mph as announced previously after testing in Germany, including onboard video footage.

Re: New info on ZR1

Put my deposit down for MSRP almost two years ago with a dealer I have done a lot of business with. I was told I was number one on the list. Not only have I purchased several Corvettes from them I have sent them several customers, over $500,000 worth of business. Now the dealer says their was a couple of deposits ahead of me. The bait and switch game taking place and trying to get me in a bidding war. I told them to pound sand and that I would never buy another car from them.
As much as I am a Corvette buff, I am really sour on GM and what the dealers are doing to loyal customers. GM and I are parting ways, no more for me.

Zipyy, thank you for the information

Ditto. Wish the manufacturers would find another avenue to sell cars. I love buying them, I just don't like the Stealership experience.
