Who do you think will be the first member here to buy a ZR1?
I'm thinking Performin Norman.
Gotta agree with you Tony! If I had the funds I's be all over one! Yeah, my now motor might be there with fwhp, but that 600+lbs/ft of torque is going to be hard for anyone to match without gas or FI.
This is going to be VERY interesting!

I hope Norm just says no to market adjustment. Seems to me that there are a few dealers out there that are only selling at MSRP based upon principle. I wouldn't reward any dealer with a market premium for this car. Market adjustment only adds to the depreciation you are going to suffer soon enough.

I agree 100%!!! A dealer who marks up is'nt looking for return customers and shouldn't be rewarded for bad behavior! I drove my Z over to a dealer who tried the markup routine on me and then told me msrp + heavy dealer fee or nothing. So I drove over w/ my new Z and sales invoice showing 5500 under sticker. I rubbed it in and enjoyed every minute! If you want to be first, guys are going to pay, and they know it. Look at the 06 guys selling their cars now ,they are in shock. They paid to be first. That money goes out the window. Within two years w/ this market they will be sitting on showroom floors just like the 08 Z's. Well from what I see it could be either Norm or Zippy we'll see!! I bet Zippy switches again!
Seems to me "some" ZL1 '69 Camaros sat in-stock into '71 before finally selling...and a couple were apparently re-engined... Today, they're all out-a-sight...
The ZR1 we have coming is @ MSRP, and is supposed to be an "early Canadian build #", whatever that means...
We anxiously await it's arrival!

we are expecting the zr1 for september on our lot.
just like any product whether it be a car a house, new technology you name it. the people that can afford dont care what they are paying for it. and most of us bitch and complain about paying msrp but we all know if we had the money it would be a no brainer to have the zr1 parked in the driveway.
having a supercar that can outperform most competion for half the price is also a no brainer. that is if i could even afford it in the first place
Are they on the road yet? My father just called me in Greensboro, NC and says a cyber gray one passed him in his truck on the way to the airport. He knows Corvettes, has one of his own, and is certain it was a ZR-1.
I'm guessing someone affiliated with NASCAR. He said it had real NC plates on it, no dealer tags.
