Cool With A Widdle Gear!

Gear: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

09ZR1 mph: 64, 91, 121, 147, 181

09ZR1 mph torque peaks at 3900rpm: 38, 55, 73, 88, 109

C5Z06TT mph w/25.4 dia Track Tires: 46, 66, 96, 139, 166

C5Z06 mph torque peaks at 4800rpm: 34, 48, 71, 103, 123

09ZR1 approx rwt is 527

Peak Torque Comparison (430rwtX64)/46=598, 593, 542; (540rwtX147)/139=571, 589

09ZR1 rpm in 6th at around 65 mph with 3.42 is 1920? Thats about what a 3.90 would do to my 6th gear already(C5 is around 1700rpm with 30mpg) But the ZR1 is the "American Exotic".

The GTR Peak Torque Comparison in first is (430rwtX64)/37=743 and 593 in second! (not much time for turbo lag there and its gross weight, you know).

Torque Quality

C5Z06 Turbo:
More peaky because of the smaller engine but midrange is bulged out more because of the twist. Nothing extra below 3000rpm, but, extra gear. Is easier on the drive train, and glad I'm have it and it's adjustability with my gearing.

09ZR1:
Flat and linear. Starts way sooner and ends sooner then the turbo. Way more torque down low could invoke a lot of wheel spin if not set up right which makes is hard to compare to my turbo situation. But, certainly a proportional amount of extra gear could be applied if there was more rubber on the road, which would yeild a quicker car! Looking at the 3rd gear mph/peak torque values above would give some indication what was safely there as my car still has wheel spin in first and second gear if I put it to the floor, and I wouldn't want it in third.

Bottom line if my car didn't break I could do all right in a drag race against the ZR1, but, on the track the ZR1's consistant power delivery make it as it was in Germany, a GT2 beater!!!!!!
