Well, for the ZR1, I love the specs and car and DO have the money. BUT, I'm going to wait a year or so before the price comes down. Dealer markups are horrendous and there are just too many competitors to even care about the ZR1 for now. The Nissan GT-R, Lexus I-SF, Porsche Cayman-S, 911 and 911 TURBO..... to name a few.

Hey...Been gone for quite a while...sold my 2004 ZO6 a couple of years ago. Never really got them "out of my blood"... Saw the ZR1 in Detroit and got the "itch"....I was reading the posts on the ZR1 about the "mark-up".. it's all about the money...and you can't blame them for trying to get the most they can for the car...but I won't pay over sticker. Isn't strange though....when the C6 came out I was going to get one and called the dealer in Indy that I had purchase 3 ZO6's from at sticker and he wanted something like 10k over!! I said ..you told me Mr____ would never sell a car over sticker..what happened?? well, you know the story...blah blah blah.. Well, fast forwar to yesterday. Called them and asked if they had any ZO6's...they said they had 4. I asked them if they would do a GM employee..the sales person said hold the line...she came back and said.."sure..you want to pick it up today?"...my what a difference our poor economy has made. They gave me a price of $68,500 on a $79,000 car...So, looks like I'll be back in the "drivers seat" of a 2008 Silver ZO6..gonna be fun.

a couple of months ago,the gm of a local dealer told me he turned down a 150 thousand dollar check for their incoming ZR1.at least he SAYS he is getting one.very small mom and pop dealership.

Only about six weeks ago; however, the dealer I buying from ordered four on spec months ago, two like mine black/red and two red/black. The first black/red goes to a guy in Texas and I have the second on contract. The other two, red/black aren't sold yet.

Thanks, that's the info I needed.
Reason mine was ordered first part of Jan. I've been givin the "run-a-round" for ever. I was promised delivery in late May, June, July. My ACR is built, passed inspection and sitting in Storage @ the Plant. Car has been paid for for months now!!! Advised "they don't have a carrier for transport". I even offered to go get it. Refused.
I'm very pissed to recently learn that they decided to go on a 2 week vacation w/o filling the orders for Vipers that have already been paid for.!
So it goes across the board w/Ford,Chevy and Dodge...$hitty customer service...No wonder their loosing money to the Imports!

I'm not holding my breath. The contract says has to be delivered in 2008.
