To my mind the brakes on the ZR1 are a big part of the reason for the price hike. Stopping power can be as important as horsepower!!

Wow, I can't believe how many people want heated seats!

I thought on this forum everyone would be all about the performance and pick 1ZR.

Re: Which ZR1 option package are you getting?

Forget the heated seats. If you don’t get the 3ZR you lose the telescopic steering wheel. It looks like you lose the side air bags too. The sheets I have are not very specific at all and the dealer doesn’t have the information either. Home link gone too, who wants lateral G’s throwing a loose garage box around? The thing that sticks in my craw the most is that I can’t keep the 6 disc MP3 player if I get the 3ZR. I don’t want nav in any form or fashion. If the voice recognition worked worth a flip, I still wouldn’t want it; I want the 6disc capacity. Why in the world would GM make their flagship car in only two flavors? Gimme ala cart options for my 105-115 thousand dollars. Wonder how many Rolexes I would sell if it was " Yeah, you have a black and a white dial choice" "Oh and if you get the black dial, having a date is not an option." What were they thinking besides “keep it simple stupid”?

Not only that, but in a sports car with 638hp and 205mph top speed, it is inconceivable that anyone with that much dough to spend would pass on any optionally available "safety" features, i.e. side airbags. Actually, good old conservative GM should have included side airbags as "standard" equipment in "all" model Corvettes.

Also, just out of curiosity, has anybody priced an "extended" warranty for the ZR1 yet? I suspect it will be quite high in keeping with the car's SIX figure price tag.
