ZR1 Reveal at the Detroit Auto Show

I was fortunate enough to travel to the auto show with some great friends from NCM and the Forum yesterday to see the ZR1 reveal! Here's a quick video snippet of the reveal and some photos. Enjoy! Mike

Re: ZR1 Reveal at the Detroit Auto Show

Thanks, Mike ...
Color looks like a bronze ... and the top appears to be painted same ...
Assuming you're there still ...
Any post-auction buzz from the $1M sale at BJ? ... GM guy there "acknowledged" a 620 hp figure ...
(and an "MSRP [or more likely dealers invoice] price of $99k) ... heard anything there?

Re: ZR1 Reveal at the Detroit Auto Show

The color is similar to the '03/'04 Spiral Gray Metallic (same color as my car) but nicer - called Cyber Gray! The bright lights there make the color look different in the photo.

The roof is carbon fiber - same with the side rocker panels and front splitter. They said 620 HP and 600 TQ, but plan to bring it to the Germany Nurburgring for final testing and numbers soon. One of the most amazing things was the brake rotors and calipers! HUGE.

Only 2000 will be made for 2 or 3 years. The larger fleet dealers will receive them - so for those that want to purchase one - save your time and don't go to the smaller dealers (IMHO) that will likely not have the allocation for the ZR1.

That car is sick. I saw some video footage of it on a test track and the thing corners so flat that if I didn't know it was in a corner I would have thought it was on flat ground.
