Ford was never able to create this excitement with the GT because people never viewed it as a real "Ford"they could relate to.
I wonder if he had the AC on and a Beachboys or Jan and Dean CD playing.

7;26.4 how does that compare to our regular old C6Z? What was our # and has it changed from 06 to 08's. Some say our 08's are slower and detuned anyone find this to be true?
That has to be the most violent acceleration I've seen in a video......the only other one that I could compare that to is the race M5 with the straight cut gears that whined obnoxiously.
I saw a couple places where he threw his hand up like he knew he missed the line.......I think there is room for more/ read as lower time. I wonder if they are going to give the key to Jan to play with......
I agree Mike, there were many instances where he was not very smooth in the turns and he missed the line. I really want to see one of the team drivers take a run at it in that car.

Great video and thanks for sharing. I think GM certainly left the door open for another (lower) run with one of their team drivers. Probably won't happen and probably not needed until Nissan runs the Ring with one of their vaunted and much talked about "V-Spec" cars that is production ready.
