Man I love that car......Those mustages are just to dang heavy. Always have been and for the look of things always will be. Not sure why they think they can compete when they add 100hp along with adding 400lbs. Just makes no sence to me. The General has really got it figured out with this Z.

It's because they're porkers. At 4700 lbs for the GT500, she is definitely a fat lady!

I looked up the curb weight on the Internet and Ford claims 3920. Strange, because I saw the sticker with my own eyes, and no, I wasn't drinking. I was taken back as well.

Yep.....the GT500 is heavy...for what it is...I enjoyed the car for the short time I owned it(6 months). I traded in my 1100 mile modded GT500 three months ago for my 2008 Black Z06 I have now. I was going to fork out another 30k for Shelby to upgrade my 2007 Shelby GT500 to a Super Snake. So then I thought..man 80k into the Stang? When I could get a new Z06 with alot more technology and over all better performance. The next week I wheeled and dealed with Kerbeck Corvette here in NJ and the rest is history.

If you go to my site you will see I have played with a few 03 Cobra Stangs ...a Viper and a total of 95 cars through the years. I have to admit...this Z06 is by far The Best.
