Re: Ken Block Gymkhana Practice

I would have:

Stalled a few times
No quarter panels left
Banged up my ass end on that round-about
Accidentally ran over the poor guy on that scooter
Over judged the garage and wiped out the side
and most likely lost a tire or two.

Amazing video. The drive has mad skills. This would be great to see in a Vette.

A great way to start a Monday morning!

Let me see if I can safely drift into the parking lot at work this morning
without slamming into the Sergeant Major's car!

Wow! The guy on the scooter would have been in a lot of trouble if I had been driving...

Pffft, that was so computer generated. I'm surprised they didn't throw in a few Velociraptors and Jeff Goldblum.

Re: Ken Block Gymkhana Practice

Interestingly, Ken Block ran the One Lap of America a couple of years ago finishing 50 or 60 something out of 100. His drifting/rally style driving did not work well when trying to go fast. I've also seen autox results showing him last in class. This video is a promo done with many takes and edits using a car set up to drift. Not saying anyone could do that, but not nearly as unique as it looks.
