02 ZO6 v.s crf450 kart

Here's some video of me racing my z06 with a 2003 crf450 go kart. Kart has around 57hp and weighs 210lbs. After about 100mph the car starts to pull it, got lots more video of the racing and the kart in Servin It Up 3.

How fast (top speed) is the kart? Obviously a "shifter" kart, and by the sound of it, its geared really low (lots of shifts to 100mph).

Very cool, and humbling, video.

I used to know someone who was really into karting and the top ones are seriously fast. Round a track, unless you're in an F1 car, you're going to get smoked.

That couldn't have been up to 100mph, & it looked/sounded like the Z was dogging it for the video.

Here we go again I knew someone would say this, the vette was on it all the way, if you knew me I would never do some shit like that. The car is faster above 100.

Maybe so, but that race looked too short to have hit 100mph.

The 250cc international ones are supposed to be able to hit 160 with the right gearbox (although they're usually geared to a max of 140 / 150).

Combine that with 0-60 in about 3 seconds and over 2.5g round corners and it's easy to see why most of the top F1 drivers started with karts.

Darius, I'm a big fan of your videos.
I'm going to make one of the Z06 vs ZX9R powered race car. It's 500lbs w/ 145HP.
