390.4 Rwhp 380.8 Rwt

Final numbers are in on my car with the below listed mods. We were dynoing and it was raining like hell outside but that made it all the sweeter.

Mods: TPIS long tube headers, VARARAM intake, magnaflow X pipe with no cats.

390.4 RWHP and 380.8 RWT:smash:

The car sounds great, it is only louder under full throttle, I like it.

Yes Yes thank you I have a pulley also, that was worth jack crap on the dyno, it is a 25 percent under drive. A word to the wise do not do this mod unless you are going to put a 40 percent under drive pulley on it like I had on the silver Zo6, it was worth 3 hp.

While you are adding your pulley to your sig, don't forget to list who your silver daddy is now

You and Buzz are invited to the GAFBA Shootout at SDR on Sunday October 13th BTW. Should be a blast as always

If any other local Atlanta Z06 guys want to run at this event let me know, there is always room for a few more

Les

Pretty good dyno numbers! Just took my 03 Cobra to the dyno yesterday... here is the details. I am looking for a 11.60 1/4 at 3710 with driver. I still love the Z06 also!

:-)

I took my car to here in California today and did a series of tests on a very high end dyno. We started with my stock 03 Coupe with 4K.

100% bone Stock - 373.9 RWHP (not too shabby!)
Removed Silencer - 374.6 RWHP (not much here)
Installed K&N with silencer removed - 386 RWHP
Installed 4LB pulley with K&N/silencer 431.8 RWHP
Installed 6LB pulley with K&N/Silencer - 429.0 RWHP and 491.5 lb-ft torque!

As you can see, the smaller upper pulley did not give me the most peak power, but it was stronger on the dyno sheet except at the very high RPM (5500+). The tuners tell me ignition was likely killed by the computer sensing all the extra boost on the smaller pulley and it prevented detonation.

It was a BEAR getting the stock pulley off, and we used a prototype pulley kit that features a quick-change hub for the new pulleys. That was also not easy to get all the way on.

The flywheel HP was listed at 535 (although this is probably around 500 based on a 15% loss). I am unsure as to how much boost I am really making, (14psi?) but the gauge is pretty far past 10 LBs!

Regardless, it hauls ass. The whine is louder than stock, and my car has stock exhaust including mufflers. I suspect I will go to an X-pipe and cat back when money permits. I have no detonation, and the fuel/air mixture appears good. I was concerned about that, but the 36lb injectors and new computer profile can compensate ok on the 03 (unlike the 96-01 Cobras!) BTW, Hot Rod was out there and they were pretty impressed by the dyno runs! Yes, I do have the dyno sheets and floppys to prove this. I hope this helps.

You will need alot more than a pulley for an 11.6. Theres NO way on street tires. You better be a better driver than most and have a fast track. Dont know how the tracks are in Canada-- but you would need to run at Etown or somwhere like that with the pulley, slicks, and good weather for an 11.6.

Oh and one more thing-- you NO longer have a powertrain warranty!!!! Now that you took the pulley off and believe me Ford will no when you take it in for service.

If you would search the mustang sites most are running 12.7-13.0 stock and 12.3-5 with lightning pulley and dr's. Slicks maybe 12.0-- which is great--dont get me wrong would beat a stock Z06-- but a modded Z06 can run that easily as well and will smash a 03 cobra on a road course. With just a 50-75hp shot of n20 Z06 are running mid-low 11's.

Snake, I am a little confused by your sig...Do you live in Ontario Canada or Ontario, Californa...You say that you took your car to a high end dyno in California, isn't that little far for a Canadian to drive...Here is the point, if you live in Ontario, CA., e-mail me because I live in the next city of Chino Hills...So call me and we can go out a DO IT and report back to the forum...

Greg

PS. Great numbers by the way...
