What did everyone forget about John Gorman's 9.0 N/A record. Its a 427 C5R setup. My nitrous setup runs 10.0 natural with no gear no convertor etc.. a total nitrous set up with out the bottle. Calvin needs to realy dig in and work out the bugs there is no reason that setup shouldn't go deep in the nines.
Good questions & comments.
I'll be talking to some guys tomorrow nite that were at the track last Friday ... see what he bases the 9.94 target on. I know he's getting some support from a shop out in Cali ... we just kinda watch him pour money into the '99 FRC ... over the past five years ...
Paul,, I think your right.. I have no idea what he is baseing his numbers on.. I have also watched that car for the past five years and that is the first time I've seen it make a full pass. (other than when he ran it with a different motor)

On 11/20 Black Attack broke the "C5 Naturally Aspirated Non-Tubbed" record of 9.95 with a 9.465 at 146 mph. Click on the following site to view the run. http://www.fbodycentral.com/html/nov20.html
Good videos ...
BTW ... it seems there are as many "records" as there are championship belts in boxing ... I'm told that the Gorman car was tubbed, so that makes it a different record
