'97 Z28 Vs. '01 ZO6 (video)

The ZO6 in this race is stock except for some type of intake-induction kit (not sure what it is exactly). My mods are in my sig. We ran from a dig and shut them down around 135. As you can hear, I spun the tires off then bogged badly and my buddy didn't get a very good launch either. He was by himself and I had 200 lbs. of dead weight in the passenger seat. We should be running them again soon with my friend filming from the ZO6. I think the 200 lbs. in his car will split the difference between us. Heres the video:

Long tubes and a tune and he better watch out.

ran from a dig? I am assuming that you are talking about a stop? I have never heard it called a dig.

You may want to get your eyes checked.

Why not just go out and buy a Z06 and stop dreaming

I bet that will get him fired up.

Why not just go out and buy a Z06 and stop dreaming about matching its performance?

Ahh, the elitest attitude shines through - knew it wouldn't take long.

I'm a college student and a car payment doesn't sound too appealing. However, I can assure you if I did own a ZO6 the mods in my sig wouldn't consist of radar detectors, power antennas and floor mats.

Should have another video or two for you fellas tonight.

hey lt1, i love camaros, and really am impressed with yours. a 97 had about 285 from factory. wow, just with your can and exhaust you are making real power. plus, i'm sure you weigh more than 200 heavier than a Z. by third you just didn't have enough. the Z is aroudn 3100, and your Z-28 probably comes in close to 3500. nice run, very nice. with headers and a tune you will be right there. good luck.... nice video

Thanks!

I have headers, but they are shorties. I'll be ordering long tubes, clutch and getting a dyno-tune in a month or so - I fully expect to touch the 11s on stock heads w/a good run.

The reference to the 200 lbs. was because I had a passenger in my car who weighs 200 lbs. My car weighs 3610 w/me in it + the 200 lbs, my car weighed ~ 3800 lbs. in that race. Like I said, we may run again tonight and I will have some new vids.

No no - now would be a time to use your eyes. Text = eyes, audio = ears.
