Sacramento Raceway - Corvette only, 28th Annual Vette Magic Drags, hosted by Northern California Corvettes Association, all day, Sunday, June 1st. $35 per car to enter. Helmets req'd 13.99 e.t. and under. No passengers under 16. $5 per head for spectator general admission. Children under 12 free. Gates open 8am. Qualifying starts at 10am. Reg. & Tech closes at 11:30am. Elimination start at 1pm.

Brackets:

1 = 12:50 & under
2 = 12:51 - 13:25
3 = 13:26 - 14:00
4 = 14:01 - 14:75
5 = 14:76 - 15:50
6 = 15:51 & over
7 = Ladies only

Hmmm, that sounds like fun. I'd love to see what the Z06 can do now w/600+RWHP.

I'm guessing it would click off a 10 pretty easily and they'd boot me for not having a roll cage? Or have the rules changed lately?

Published Rules & Regulations:

1. All Vettes, seat belts req'd.
2. Helmets req'd 13:99 and under.
3. No Nitromethane and/or Alcohol fuels allowed, but NOS ok.
4. Vettes w/ race tires or drag slicks req'd to have scattershields.
5. Slicks & Trans Brakes brackets 1 & 2 ONLY. No exceptions.
6. 5/10 full tree
7. No electonics (delay boxes, throttle stops, etc.)
8. No alcohol or glass bottles on site.
9. Must have valid drivers lic. & be over 18 years old.
10. No passengers under 16 years old.
11. Roll bars on all open cars/ canvas or hardtop on all roadsters.
12. No super-chargers.

No superchargers? That seems pretty dumb. Why allow nitrous and turbos if superchargers are banned?

Guess you can count me out. Sounds like they don't want any real competition.

Thanks for the info. I will be there in my Torch Red 01 and my buddy will be there in his yellow 01.

I know that's what the "rules" say, but I've done this event in years past with a supercharged L98 . . . went through tech . . . and nobody said a thing about. Bracket 1 cars routinely run with blowers, and although "rules are rules" it may not apply.

If its going to be really hot (in Sacramento) this weekend, and they are hard up for entries, the rules just might go right out the window.

Oddly enough . . . no rule about sound (decibel) limits???

There are no rules against sound. You can run open headers on the weekend.

Also, my buddy runs a 85 Vette with a supercharger, we've been attending for a few years and I have not seen anyone turned away. I think the rule was meant for blown alchol type cars not "supercharged" cars.
