Great track....... We'll watch for you on the tube, Zippy. Hope to get there sometime for a DE run. Live near Road America and attend most of the events. Champ Car and World Class coming up this summer.
Good chance I'm going, usually set up in the grass at the end of the back straight.
Zippy if I go I'll PM my cell phone, be nice to meet you before the Fest.

Rudy: That's where I watch the race, too! I'm usually at the top of the hill under the shade trees. Looking forward to meeting you too!
hey Rudy and Tony-I will be there with a few friends also on Sunday.
If you call ahead and mention the corvette forum, you can park in corvette parking. They are also scheduling the "corvette lap" for 1130 on Sunday around the track. Last time there were so many vettes the guys said you only got up to 20mph but it's the novelty of doing it at Lemans I guess

No way, I let space open up between me and the guy ahead
and way able to get on it through first and second gear.
Leslie,
You have a number for that deal? I am still planning on driving up with another SCCA T1 driver in his 04 Coupe. Be nice to have parking and take him around the track and show it to him as he has never been there.

Not Leslie but the number is 1-800-Mid-Ohio, they require advance ticket purchase and parking pass. I'm parling in the corral with a Vette club I belong to but I hope to find some of you there. I'll be wearing a ZO6 Vette hat, and before someone asks, I will have on additional clothes, as the weather requires.

Probably you and 20 or 30 other guys. Wearing the Z06 hat that is.
Anyone planning on making it up to the most beautiful track in the US for the ALMS race?

Anyone going: Strongly suggest you call Mid Ohio ticket office BEFORE 5pm Wednesday, June 23rd. I talked to them yesterday and was informed that one needs to order tickets ahead of time in order to get passes for the garage, pit lane, and paddock area. Plus the cost is less with a pre-order.
I also received a note regarding Corvette infield parking for the race. When you call for tickets, please mention that you drive a Corvette, and plan to park in the corrall, so that you get the correct infield infield parking pass. You will need the infield parking pass to get to the corral area. Again, please call 1-800-MID-OHIO ASAP to get your questions answered, and order tix.
I also heard Andy Pilgrim will drive the Caddy!!! I printed out an enty list yesterday from their web site, but did not see Andy or Heinricy on the list. We'll see when we get there.
Here is the entry list for the GTS class:
#3 Ron Fellows & Johnny O'Connell Corvette C5-R
#4 Oliver Gavin & Olivier Beretta Corvette C5-R
#5 David Brabham Lamborghini Murcielago
# 6 Tracy Krohn & Scott Maxwell Lamborghini Murcielago
#63 Terry Borcheller & Johnny Mowlem Saleen S7R
#71 Tom Weickardt & Jean Phillipe Belloc Dodge Viper
Subdriver-what Zippy said, everyone that wants to park in the corvette corral needs to get an infield pass prior to their arrival. Here's the thread on the event from the other site:
Wonder how that works with the military is free deal. Better call them tomorrow.
Thanks for the info all.
I may be driving the F350 though as my Vette ride can't find a replacement to fly for him Friday night.
My ride came through!
We are hitting the road early tomorrow (Friday) and will be there in the afternoon.
The people he talked to at the ticket office had no idea how to set him up for the Corvette Infield pass. Oh well...
We're winging lodging. Have Vette, will travel.
Hope to see many of you there this weekend. I'll be the one wearing a Corvette Racing shirt.
