Actually, it's my buddy's 928, although I do own one which I drive on the street; I edited my above post for clarity.

I have run against a few at PCA events and they seem very fast when stripped of all the heavy luxury items, however I have heard horror stories about how expensive replacement parts are. How has your experience been?

Parts can be expensive, but if you do the labor yourself, it's not too bad.
With that said, 928's are GREAT cars; I'd recommend an '87 or later for the street.
My friend's car is an 84 Euro S. It puts out 275 rwhp and weighs 2700 lbs; that car really flies out on the track! It is also THE BEST sounding car out there bar-none. Not even the ALMS cars can come close. People come up all the time and remark on it's sound, with the best being Last October a guy came up and said it sounded like 'sex on wheels'.
Alright, here's a video from last year from an Infinity; 'fast forward' to 7:13:

Look us up if you get the chance; we usually pit up at the top by the restaurant and walk-in restrooms.
